Sealed Bids will be received until 11:00 AM Tuesday October 29, 2024, in Conference Room 609 on the 6th floor of the Raleigh Municipal Building at, 222 W. Hargett Street, Raleigh, NC, at which time and place bids will be publicly opened and read aloud for the construction of the Wakefield Trail Repaving Project. It is recommended that each submitting firm only send one representative if desiring to have an in-person presence. If you prefer to attend the virtual meeting please send an email to David.Bender@raleighnc.gov that includes the name and email address of the attendee(s). Invitations to the virtual meeting will go out the day of the bid opening,

After Bids are opened, the Owner shall evaluate them in accordance with the methods and criteria set forth in the Instructions to Bidders. The Owner/City Council reserves the right to waive any informality or to reject any or all Bids. Unless all Bids are rejected, Award will be made to the lowest responsible and responsive Bidder, taking into consideration quality, performance and the time specified in the Bid Form for the performance of the Contract.

A virtual Non-Mandatory Pre-Bid Meeting for any interested contractors, sub-contractors, minority and woman owned businesses who did not already attend our September 25, 2024 on-site pre-bid conference can call in at 11:00 AM Tuesday October 22, 2024 on Teams.  If you would like to call into the virtual pre-bid meeting, please send an email to David.Bender@raleighnc.gov that includes the name and email address of the attendee(s).

Requirements for pre-bid submittals of an “or-equal” are required within 10 days of issuance of the Advertisement for Bids and in accordance with Section 00200, Instructions to Bidders.

The Project consists generally of the following major items:

The project is located along the existing Wakefield Trail from Old Falls of Neuse Road to Rosalie Street. The purpose of the project is to repave Wakefield Trail including erosion control, asphalt paving, pavement markings, traffic control, signing, various utility work, and other incidentals.

Contract documents can be purchased from Accent Imaging for a non- refundable fee of One Hundred Dollars ($100.00) for hard and digital copies or a fee of Fifty Dollars ($50.00) for digital only plus sales tax.
