NOTICE TO BIDDERS

Sealed proposals will be received by the N.C. Department of Natural and Cultural Resources, Division of Parks and Recreation up to 2:00 pm on Wednesday, December 11, 2024 in the Jordan Lake State Recreation Area Visitor Center, 280 State Park Rd, Apex, NC 27523 Attn: Justin Williamson, and immediately thereafter publicly opened and read for the furnishing of labor, material and equipment entering into the construction of:

JORDAN LAKE STATE RECREATIONAL AREA – PARKERS CREEK CAMPGROUND SHOWER HOUSE RENOVATIONS

Parkers Creek Recreation Area Loop 3 & Loop 4 Pittsboro, NC 27312

Renovations include selective demolition and renovation of two existing shower houses at Loop 3 and Loop 4 at Parkers Creek Campground. The existing shower house buildings each measure approximately 1,180 sf.

Demolition work includes removal of various site elements, portions of exterior siding, asphalt roof shingles, doors, select interior CMU walls, select interior concrete slabs, lighting, countertops, flooring, stall walls, plumbing fixtures, HVAC equipment and electrical equipment. New construction includes improvements to parking, new sidewalks, new site elements, HVAC improvements, new plumbing and fixtures, lighting, installation of new masonry walls, new doors and frames, new ceramic flooring and wall tile, new toilet and shower compartment walls, new paint, and new accessories.

Bids will be received for single prime contract. All proposals shall be lump sum.

Pre-Bid Meeting

An open pre-bid meeting, MANDATORY for General Contractors interested in bidding will be held at 10:00 am on Wednesday November 20, 2024 at Jordan Lake State Recreation Area Visitor Center, 280 State Park Rd, Apex, NC 27523. The meeting will address project specific questions, issues, bidding procedures and forms.
