Sealed Bids will be received until 10:00 AM on Thursday, February 6, 2025, at One Exchange Plaza, Suite 620, Raleigh, NC 27601 at which time and place bids will be publicly opened and read aloud for the construction of the Seaboard Station Utility Improvements project.

After Bids are opened, the Owner shall evaluate them in accordance with the methods and criteria set forth in the Bid Proposal Form. The Owner/City Council reserves the right to waive any informality or to reject any or all Bids. Unless all Bids are rejected, Award will be made to the lowest responsible and responsive Bidder, taking into consideration quality, performance and the time specified in the Bid Form for the performance of the Contract.

A Mandatory Pre-Bid Meeting was held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, January 9, 2025 at One Exchange Plaza, Suite 620, Raleigh, NC 27601. A new pre-bid meeting will not be conducted as part of the re-bid.

The Project consists generally of the following major items:

·         Furnish and install approximately 850 LF of 8” through 15” SDR 26 PVC Sanitary Sewer to be installed by open cut

·         Furnish and install approximately 120 LF of 16” DR-18 C900 Sanitary Sewer to be installed by open cut within CSX R/W

·         Furnish and install approximately 370 LF 36” steel encasement pipe with 16” DR- 18 C900 RJ PVC Sanitary Sewer to be installed by Bore and Jack within CSX R/W

·         Furnish and install approximately 30 LF of 8” RJ PC 350 DI water main to be installed by open cut

·         Furnish and install approximately 10 sanitary sewer manholes

·         Furnish and install approximately 1,600 LF of 8” to 12” RJ PC 350 DI water main to be installed by open cut

·         Associated pavement and surface restoration, erosion control, bypass pumping, and other appurtenances

The following addenda were issued with the original bid 274-WS-2014-29 (bid opening held on Thursday, January 23, 2025) and shall be made part of this re-advertisement contract:

·         Addendum No. 1, issued January 17, 2025

A hard copy of the plans, contract, and electronic files may be obtained at non-refundable fee of one hundred and fifty dollars ($150.00) plus sales tax for hard copy plus digital, or seventy-five dollars ($75.00) plus sales tax for digital only. Plans must be purchased through Accent Imaging to be on the bidders list. Bids will only be accepted from companies listed on the bidders list. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for copies of the Bidding Documents obtained from sources other than from Accent Imaging.
