Sealed Bids will be received by the City of Raleigh, Parks, Recreation and Cultural Resources Department at 222 W. Hargett Street, Room 609, (6th floor) Raleigh NC 27601, on April 23, 2025 at 11am and immediately thereafter publicly opened and read aloud for the furnishing of labor, material and equipment for the Rothgeb Drive Streambank Stabilization Project #274-PRCR- Rothgeb-2025-R.
After Bids are opened, the Owner shall evaluate them in accordance with the methods and criteria set forth in the Instructions to Bidders. The Owner/City Council reserves the right to waive any informality or to reject any or all Bids. Unless all Bids are rejected, Award will be made to the lowest responsible and responsive Bidder, taking into consideration quality, performance and the time specified in the Bid Form for the performance of the Contract.
No Non-Mandatory Pre-Bid Meeting for all contractors, sub-contractors, minority and woman owned businesses will be held.
Requirements for pre-bid submittals of an "or-equal" are required within [10] days of the issuance of the Advertisement for Bids and in accordance with Section 00200, Instructions to Bidders.
The project is located along the Crabtree Creek Trail at Rothgeb Park: the project site can be entered at Crabtree Creek Greenway Trailhead between Greenway MM 9 ¼ and MM 9 ½ from Rothgeb Drive.
The project consists of the streambank stabilization. The stabilization includes installation of wood toe with soil lifts along approximately 100 linear feet of Crabtree Creek. The site will be revegetated with trees, shrubs, and seeding. The contractor will be responsible for providing necessary erosion and sediment control as well as traffic control.
