EARLY SITE. ABATEMENT. DEMOLITION. UTILITIES & ELECTRICAL PROCUREMENT

To All Bidders:

This project, Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) 1 includes the following.

1.         The relocation of a section of existing operational steam tunnel,

2.         The relocation of a section of existing sewer service piping and structures,

3.         The hazardous materials abatement of the existing 1-story Records & Auditorium Building No. 11,

4.         The hazardous materials abatement of a section of existing steam tunnel below Building 11 that will be abandoned during this project,

5.         The abatement of existing Building 12,

6.         The demolition of Building 11,

7.         The demolition of the abandoned steam tunnel under Building ll,

8.         The demolition of three (3) small sheds/barns,

9.         The demolition and removals of underground utilities,

10.       The demolition and removals of existing power and fiber optic lines,

11.       The set-up of HITT Contracting's site trailer complex,

12.      Earthwork, and

13.       The procurement, delivery, installation and commissioning of one (l) 2500A switchboard, two (2) new SOOK standby generators, one (l) 100 KW emergency generator, three (3) automatic transfer switches (ATS), and one (l) portable generator quick connect.

GMP 1 digital and/or hard copy plans, specifications, and contract documents will be available on Tuesday September 3, 2024, for purchase, review and/or download from Accent Imaging 8121 Brownleigh Drive Raleigh NC (919) 782-3332 and their Digital Plan Room at https:/ /www.planscope.com.

A pre-bid site visit and pre-bid meeting will be held on-site at the SBI Garner Road campus in Raleigh on Tuesday September 10, 2024, from 1:00pm-2:00pm. Attendance at the pre-bid meeting is strongly encouraged. Failure to attend the pre-bid meeting is in no way an avenue to apply for additional consideration or change order compensation at a later date.

The deadline for prequalified Subcontractor/Bidder Requests for Information (RFl's) will be the end of business (5:00pm) on Tuesday September 17, 2024. HITT Contracting and the project Architect, LS3P, will issue responses and/or an addendum by Tuesday September 24, 2024, and this information will be immediately distributed to all prequalified Bidders.
