Sealed Bids will be received until 11:00 am October 16, 2024 at One Exchange Plaza, Suite 620, Raleigh, NC, at which time and place bids will be publicly opened and read aloud for the construction of the State Street Phase 3A project.

After Bids are opened, the Owner shall evaluate them in accordance with the methods and criteria set forth in the Bid Proposal Form. The Owner/City Council reserves the right to waive any informality or to reject any or all Bids. Unless all Bids are rejected, Award will be made to the lowest responsible and responsive Bidder, taking into consideration quality, performance and the time specified in the Bid Form for the performance of the Contract.

A Mandatory Pre-Bid Meeting will be held at 10:00 am October 1, 2024 at One Exchange Plaza, Suite 620, Raleigh, NC.

The Project consists generally of the following major items:

·         Approximately 2,600 linear feet of 8-inch gravity sewer lines and appurtenant items.

·         Approximately 3,000 linear feet of 8-inch gravity sewer rehabilitation and appurtenant items, including rehabilitation of 16 sanitary sewer manholes.

·         Approximately 560 linear feet of 16-inch water lines and appurtenant items.

·         Approximately 2,300 linear feet of 8-inch water lines and appurtenant items.

·         Abandonment of approximately 4,700 LF of existing water main and approximately 200 LF of existing sanitary sewer main.

·         Associated pavement and surface restoration, erosion control, bypass pumping, and other appurtenances.

Bidding Documents may be examined at Engineer's office and at: ConstructConnect, online; McGraw Hill Dodge Company, online; Construction Journal, online; and NC Institute of Minority Economic Development (a.k.a. The Institute), online.

Complete Bidding Documents may be reviewed online and be obtained from Accent Imaging, 8121 Brownleigh Drive, Raleigh, NC 27617, (919) 782-3332, or at www.accentimaging.com. A hard copy of the plans, contract, and electronic files may be obtained at non-refundable fee of two hundred and fifty dollars ($250.00) plus sales tax for hard copy plus digital, or one hundred and twenty-five dollars ($125.00) plus sales tax for digital only. Plans must be purchased through Accent Imaging to be on the bidders list. Bids will only be accepted from companies listed on the bidders list.  Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for copies of the Bidding Documents obtained from sources other than from Accent Imaging.
