The Town of Fuquay-Varina (Owner) is requesting bids for the construction of the following construction project: N. Ennis Street Water Main Improvements.
Sealed bids must be submitted to:

Each sealed envelope containing a bid must be plainly marked on the outside as “Bid for N. Ennis Street Water Main Improvements, Town of Fuquay-Varina” and should bear on the outside the name of the bidder and his address. Bids will be received at the Fuquay-Varina Town Hall, 134 N Main St, Fuquay- Varina, North Carolina prior to 2:00 PM February 18, 2025 at which time and place the BIDS will be publicly opened and read aloud. Bids received after this time will be returned unopened.

The procurement websites will be updated periodically with Addenda, reports, or other information relevant to submitting a Bid for the Project. Bidders must register with and email the Engineer in order to be on the bidders list. All questions related to this project must be received by the Engineer in writing. Only questions answered by formal written Addenda will be binding. Oral and other interpretations or clarifications will be without legal effect. All such Addenda shall become part of the Contract Documents and all Bidders shall be bound by such Addenda, whether or not received by the Bidders.
Bidders must submit a cashier’s check, certified check, or acceptable bidder’s bond with their Bid as a guarantee that the Bidder will enter into a contract for the Project with the Owner. The security must be payable to Owner in the amount of 5 percent of the Bid submitted. Contractor must execute the Contract, bonds and certificates of insurance on the forms provided in the Contract Documents.
Performance and Payment Bonds are required. The Owner reserves the right to adopt the most advantageous interpretation of the Bids submitted in the case of ambiguity or lack of clearness in stating bid prices, to reject any or all Bids, and/or waive formalities. Incomplete or qualified bids will not be accepted. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of ninety (90) days after scheduled bid opening.
