INVITATION TO BID

Research Triangle Foundation, North Carolina

Sealed bids must be submitted no later than 2 p.m. on Tuesday, February 25th, 2025 to the Research Triangle Foundation office at 700 Park Offices Drive Suite 007, RTP, North Carolina 27709, Bowman Boardroom. Bids will be opened and read publicly for the furnishing of materials, labor, and equipment for the construction of O’Kelly Chapel Road (SR 1628) RTP Trail Connection, Project No. BL-0026. A brief project description is as follows:

Construction of 0.213 miles of trail and 0.030 miles of pedestrian bridge for a total project length of 0.243 miles. This project will also include pedestrian improvements, utility construction, grading, drainage, paving, erosion control, and landscaping.

Plans, Specifications and Contract documents may be viewed electronically at rtp.org after January 21, 2025 at 5:00 p.m., and at the following electronic plan rooms: Planscope.com (Accent Imaging). Hard copies of the plans and specifications can also be ordered from Accent Imaging at 8121 Brownleigh Drive Raleigh, NC 27617.

An optional pre-bid meeting will be held with the Engineer and Owner at 2p.m. on Tuesday, February 4th. The meeting will be held virtually on Microsoft Teams to discuss the project and answer pertinent questions. No oral interpretations will be made as to the meaning of the Contract Documents. Interpretation, if deemed necessary, will be in the form of a written Addendum.

 All questions about the meaning or intent of the Contract documents shall be submitted in writing to Tyler White, P.E., Kimley-Horn and Associates, Inc., tyler.white@kimley-horn.com, 919-677-2074. Questions are due by February 19, 2025, at 5:00 p.m. Replies will be issued by Addenda, mailed or delivered to all parties recorded by the Engineer as having received the Bidding Documents. Only questions answered by written Addenda will be binding. Oral and other interpretations or clarifications will be without legal effect.

Addenda, when issued by February 20, 2025 by 5:00 p.m., will be posted to the Research Triangle Website (rtp.org) and Planscope.com (Accent Imaging). It shall be the Bidder’s responsibility to make inquiry as to the Addenda issued.

All such Addenda shall become part of the Contract Documents and all Bidders shall be bound by such Addenda, whether or not received by the Bidders.
